I am organizing this Sunday’s Zoom two virtual artstudio visits:
BETWEEN TWO WORLDS, by Alan Falk.
PRAYERS OF A KOHENET, by Bekah Starr.
Sunday May 31, 1pm EDT.
Based on Alan Falk’s solo exhibit Between Two Worlds: Shir HaShirim and The Dybbuk his session explores the romantic and magical aspects of love and the search for the sublime; his artworks based on The Song of Songs and on S. Ansky’s Yiddish drama, The Dybbuk.
Prayers of a Kohenet (Hebrew Priestess) features Bekah Starr‘s work, a celebration of the Shekhinah, the sacred primordial divine feminine. By reclaiming the power of ancient Hebrew rituals and prayers she empowers a modern day version of a Hebrew Priestess through visual art.
